BlackBerry Priv Gets New Marshmallow Beta Update

Following the release of Android 6.0 Marshmallow to all Blackberry Priv owners late last month, the company has decided to launch yet another beta build of Android Marshmallow, Android Marshmallow Beta 4, to registered Beta users for download and testing.

Although no much information has been released about the fourth beta build of Android Marshmallow. Android Marshmallow Beta 4 is now rolling out to select Blackberry Priv models including:

  • STV100-1 (sold via the online BlackBerry store or via Amazon)
  • STV100-3 (Canadian carrier models and those models sold in the Asia Pacific region)
  • STV100-4 (the European, Middle Eastern and African variant)
Reminder: When downloading the update, it is recommended to not cancel the download or reboot your phone as that does tend to cause problems with getting the update to show up again.

Android Marshmallow Beta 4, which takes about 1.8GB of space, is now available as a free update to Blackberry Priv devices registered in the company's Beta Program.
