Google Introducing Tap To Translate

Google has officially announced the latest update coming to its multilingual statistical machine translation service, Tap To Translate, enabling users to instantly translate text without ever switching between multiple apps.

With Tap To Translate for Google Translate, users will finally be able to easily and instantly copy the text of a chat, comment, song lyric, etc in whichever app they are using, and a translation icon will pop up right there offering them a whole new way to translate without ever going out of their existing app. Last but not least, Tap To Translate works with 103 of Google Translate’s supported languages.

Tap To Translate is now rolling out to Google Translate as a free update on Android devices running Jellybean 4.2 and above.
